ENTRY 1: MY FIRST EVER BLOG

The Blog section of my site is going to be for more casual writing. Things like:

• Rants
• Supplementary material
• Odds and ends
• My comments on current events
• Story ideas
• Why I wrote certain things?

It is not meant to be polished writing, and not meant to be long entries. I imagine some of what I write in a blog entry might sort of plant a seed, and end up growing into a full-fledged article. If that happens, I will still leave the original blog entry in place, warts and all. (Probably with a link to the longer story it inspired.)

When I say 'supplementary material' I mean little snippets that might support my real writing. (For instance, my next blog entry is "HOW TO MAKE A RICE SOCK HEATING PAD" which I will link to from the article "CHALAZION TROUBLES.")

The last item "Why I wrote certain things?" is about the story behind the story. What prompted me to write it in the first place? What was happening when I came up with the idea? Yada, yada, yada...
